Each December, Canadian Pacific's Holiday Train travels across Canada and the United States to raise food, money and awareness for local food banks. Illuminated by hundreds of thousands of festive lights, the Holiday Train makes its way across seven states and six provinces visiting over 140 Canadian and U.S. communities.

Food Banks
In the United States, local food pantries and food shelves benefit from this program. Since the program's inception back in 1999, more than 4.8 million in cash and over 2.3 million pounds of food has been collected in Canada and the United States.

Entertainers
The U.S. Holiday Train entertainer includes Juno award-winner singer and songwriter Melanie Doane.

The Canadian Pacific Railway employee volunteers: Did you know more than 1,000 CP employees help with the Holiday Train's fundraising journey every year? The CPR employees contribute to the success of the Holiday Train program by: decorating the train with hundreds of thousands of festive lights donating earned wages and vacation time to assist with Holiday Train operations planning CP food drives at yard and office locations providing volunteer support at each community event filling in for Santa Claus at performances
